Sarah Tiefenthaler completed her first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2010 in
Montezuma, Costa Rica, where she focused intensely on the philosophy of yoga as well
as meditation practices. When she returned to Los Angeles, she completed her second
200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Hollywood, Ca., at Earth’s Power Yoga where she was
able to expand her knowledge of human anatomy and alignment in relation to yoga.
However, it was after spending day after day in the tropical Costa Rican jungle that led
Sarah on her path to creating LA’s first ever Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga Studio,
YOGAqua. YOGAqua launched in Marina Del Rey, Ca., on July 17th, 2011, and now with a second location in Ventura, Ca.

With her ongoing passion for yoga history, philosophy and asana, Sarah continues her
studies and has gone on to complete several more trainings and workshops, including a
100-hour course at Maha Yoga in Brentwood, Ca., Yin & Restorative at Yoga Loft in
Manhattan Beach, Ca., and most recently, her 300-hour with Noah Mazé.
